Detailed description

Boca Lago Country Club is a Private, 27 hole golf facility located in Boca Raton, Florida. The facility has three 9-hole courses. They are The South Nine, The East Nine, and The West Nine. These nines can be paired to form three different 18-hole combinations.

The courses first opened for play in 1975. The course architects were the team of Bruce Devlin & Robert von Hagge.

South Nine __________

The South course is very challenging. Driving the ball straight is essential. If you are driving the ball well, this 9 gives you the best opportunity to score. There are a lot of hazards, and water comes into play on 4 of the 9 holes. If you are not putting your tee shot in play, this set of holes can really be tough. Undulating and long greens will also put your putter to the test.

East Nine __________

The East course is a very challenging and scenic 9 holes of golf. It starts on the Signature hole of Boca Lago CC, a breathtaking Par 5 that has you cross water two different times. It gets a little easier from there, but not much. The East has a lot of character, and no two holes are alike.

West Nine __________

The West Course is a bit shorter than the other nines, and unlike the other two nines that play to a par-36, The West Nine plays to a par-35. Do not let the short length of this course fool you. It is an extremely tough test of golf. This course demands precise shot making and proper placement of your golf ball on all of the holes. Any wayward shots will be penalized. It is an extremely difficult course for lower handicappers due to its tree lined fairways and narrow tee shots. Yet, it is forgiving for the beginner, as there is not much water to carry.
